The species has small eyes. The legs are long. The body is a yellowish or light orange brown, densely covered in short hairs, but with longer, erect hairs interspersed.[1] Range and habitatThe species is only known from Mount Tomanivi on the Fijian island of Viti Levu, but is believed to also inhabit the islands of Taveuni and Vanua Levu.[1] Individuals were collected from leaf litter and decaying wood from undisturbed rainforest half way up the mountain.[1] PhylogenyP. vinaka is part of the P. silaceum clade.[1]References1. ^1 2 3 4 5 {{cite journal |last=Garcia |first=Francisco Hita |last2=Sarnat |first2=Eli M. |last3=Economo |first3=Evan P. |date=22 January 2015 |title=Revision of the ant genus Proceratium Roger (Hymenoptera, Proceratiinae) in Fiji |url=https://zookeys.pensoft.net/articles.php?id=4573 |journal=ZooKeys |publisher=Pensoft |issue=475 |pages=97–112 |doi=10.3897/zookeys.475.8761 |access-date=26 January 2015}} External links
