Propazepine is a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA).[1] Propazepine is sometimes confused with imipramine, which has the central ring nitrogen in a different location.[1] Prazepine is the International nonproprietary name of this compound.[2] Prazepine is also reported to be one of the many synonyms of imipramine.[3] Propazepine can be synthesized chemically.[4][5] Propazepine appears to never have actually been used as a tricyclic antidepressant outside of initial medical tests;{{citation needed|date=January 2017}} therefore, there is little information about it.
