The leaves are 22 to 36 mm long and 7 to 14 mm wide.[1] Flowers appear singly in the leaf axils in spring in the species native range. The floral tube is 15 to 22 mm long and either cream shading to pink on the lobes or wholly pink.[1] The species was formally described in 1984 by Barry J.
