}} Protorthodes orobia is a moth in the family Noctuidae. It is known only from eastern Texas, where it is most common along the Gulf Coast. The length of the forewings is 11–14 mm. The ground colour of the forewings is grey-brown with a dusting of white scales. The maculation is defined by thin white lines with the transverse lines represented on the costa by seven wider white spots. Adults are on wing in October.[1] References1. ^{{aut|Lafontaine, J.D.}}; {{aut|Walsh, J.B.}}; {{aut|Ferris, C.D.}} 2014: A revision of the genus Protorthodes McDunnough with descriptions of a new genus and four new species (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae, Noctuinae, Eriopygini).
