The Senate Public Safety Committee is an eight member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, and five members. The Committee operates under a Senate mandate to regulate all aspects involving the security and well-being of Georgia's citizens and to employ mitigating efforts to protect them from physical violence and other dangerous perils.[1] Scope and jurisdictionThe Senate Public Safety Committee has jurisdiction over all legislation concerning the maintenance of the security and general well-being of Georgia's citizens from all aspects of physical violence or danger.
