}}Pudahuel station is an underground metro station on Line 5 of the Santiago Metro, in Santiago, Chile. It is located underneath the junction of San Pablo Avenue and Teniente Cruz Avenue, on the border of the communes of Pudahuel and Lo Prado, between Barrancas and San Pablo metro stations. It has an area of 3,100 m²[2] The station has disabled access.[3]

The station and the line extension it forms part of were inaugurated on January 12, 2010 by president Michelle Bachelet.[4]

In the surrounding area can be found the Pudahuel municipality building, a supermarket, a share taxis stop and a bus stop.

After Pudahuel station, the underground tunnel makes an abrupt turn to the south west towards Maipú, right under the commune hall. This bend can be seen from the platform (see the photo gallery).

Etymology

The station was named after the Pudahuel town hall, located at the main exit.
