It was a São Paulo International Film Festival official selection, won the Silver Zenith best first film prize at the Montreal World Film Festival. The plot follows an Ecuadorian student, Tristeza (Vallejo) from Quito and a Spanish traveler, Esperanza (Martinez) from Barcelona as they unexpectedly travel together from Quito to Cuenca, because Tristeza wants to stop her summer love from marrying and Esperanza wants to travel when a strike caused by the runaway of the president, makes it impossible to travel by bus. They are then forced to improvise their way to Cuenca when they meet Jesus and later Andrés. They get to Cuenca but they don't get there on time to stop the wedding. Cast
