The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) is an agency of the government of South Africa that regulates railroad safety. Its head office is in Waterview Corner in Bruma, Johannesburg.[1] It also has a Cape Town office in Suite 515 of the 5th floor of the Paul Sauer Building.[2] The agency investigates accidents and incidents related to railways.[3] The National Railway Safety Regulator Act, Act 16 of 2002 established the RSR.[4] See also{{Portal|South Africa|Trains}}Train accidents in South Africa:
