After completing seven grades of school in his native village he continued his studies in Ufa. In 1950–1955 he studied at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute in Moscow, and after graduation worked for the newspaper The Council of Bashkortostan, magazine Agidel, and the literary publishing house Bashkir. In 1959–1964 Garipov lived in his native lands, serving as a Komsomol secretary at farms "Yuryuzan" and "Sargamysh" of Salavatsky District, and working for a local newspaper. In 1964–1966 he wrote for the newspaper The Council of Bashkortostan, and in 1968–1972 served as executive secretary of Bashkortostan Kyzy. References1. ^Рами Гарипов. Bashculture.ru (16 July 2010).
