释义 |
The Rapaki steam crane was an historic boat in New Zealand. On 24 December 1925 the Lyttelton Harbour Board ordered an 80-ton self-propelled floating crane, called Rapaki. It was named after the settlement close to Lyttelton of the same name. She was built at a cost of £42,000. The Rapaki could be visited at the Auckland waterfront.[2] It was one of two steam cranes still in New Zealand waters, the other being the Hikitia which can be visited on the Wellington Waterfront. In December 2018, the Rapaki was towed to Wynyard Wharf to be broken up.[3] References1. ^1 2 3 4 5 6 {{cite web |last1= Cameron |first1= Stuart |last2=Allen |first2=Bruce |last3=Robinson |first3=George |title=Rapaki |work=Clyde-built Database |publisher= |date= |url=http://www.clydesite.co.uk/clydebuilt/viewship.asp?id=5892 |accessdate= 22 January 2016}} 2. ^NZ National Maritime Museum 3. ^{{cite news |last1=Johnston |first1=Martin |title=Auckland's heritage coal-powered sea crane sent to be scrapped |url=https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12177021 |accessdate=14 December 2018 |work=The New Zealand Herald |date=14 December 2018}}
