S. 395 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It has significance for being the site of the first airplane flight in Nevada, on June 23, 1910. The listing included {{convert|334.2|acre}} with two contributing buildings and one other contributing structure.[1] According to the NRHP nomination for the site:
