It was described by Charles Swinhoe in 1906. It is found in India (Andaman Islands).[1] Adults are pale yellow, the forewings with the apical half of the costal line brown. There is a moderately large black spot close to the costa beyond the middle and another slightly larger spot below it in the disc. The hindwings have an even larger black spot at the apex, and a lunular black spot in the disc, with its lower end near the outer margin. The outer marginal line is black.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |last=Nuss |first=M. |display-authors=etal |date=2003–2014 |url=http://globiz.pyraloidea.org/Pages/Reports/TaxonReport.aspx |title=GlobIZ search |website=Global Information System on Pyraloidea |accessdate=2014-07-15}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q14254313}}{{Spilomelinae-stub}}2. ^{{cite journal |last=Swinhoe |first=C. |date=1906 |url=https://archive.org/stream/s7annalsmagazine17londuoft#page/286/mode/2up |title=New and little-known Species of Heterocera from the East |journal=The Annals and Magazine of Natural History: Including Zoology, Botany, and Geology |volume=17 |series=7 |page=287 |via=Internet Archive}} 2 : Spilomelinae|Moths described in 1906 |
