Little else is known about their behavior, but observations in aquariums indicate that they are nocturnal.[1] They have a relatively long slender snout and depending on the exact species reach up to {{convert|26.5-100|cm|ft|abbr=on|1}} in total length.[1][3] SpeciesThere are currently 10 recognized species in this genus:[3]
