| image = Rhynchoconger trewavasae 2.png | taxon = Rhynchoconger trewavasae | authority = Ben-Tuvia, 1993 | synonyms_ref = | synonyms = }}Rhynchoconger trewavasae is an eel in the family Congridae (conger/garden eels).[1] It was described by Adam Ben-Tuvia in 1993.[2] It is a marine, deep water-dwelling eel which is known from the western Indian Ocean, including the Gulf of Aqaba, Israel, and possibly the Gulf of Suez. It dwells at a depth range of {{convert|300|to|500|m|ft}}, and swims in a zigzag motion near the bottom. Males can reach a maximum total length of {{convert|57|cm|in}}, but more commonly reach a TL of {{convert|45|cm|in}}.[1] The species epithet "trewavasae" was given in honour of British ichthyologist Ethelwynn Trewavas.
