She is a former member of the girl group Nogizaka46, and a former member of AKB48's Team B.[1][2] She was a first generation member of Nogizaka46, and was first appointed to be the center position in the group. In the Nogizaka46 single title track, she took the center position 6 times in total, for Nogizaka46 first 5 singles and their 12th single.[3][4] She played a main leading-role in Corpse Party (film) as Naomi Nakashima. BiographyEarly life and Nogizaka46Rina Ikoma is from Yurihonjō, Akita Prefecture.[5][6] She had been learning to dance since childhood and became involved in the show business with the encouragement of her father, who recommended Rina to audition for the idol group Nogizaka46.[6] In 2011 she applied for the Nogizaka46 auditions among 38,934 other girls. She became one of the 56 girls who advanced to the final round and in August she was chosen to become one of the 36 founding members. For Nogizaka46's debut single, "Guruguru Curtain", Rina was appointed to be one of the three centers in the title song's choreography. She became the only member who kept her center position in the second single, titled "Oide Shampoo". She also recorded a solo song to accompany the single,[7] becoming the first member of Nogizaka46 to do so. On 24 February 2014, a shocking announcement was made at the AKB48 Group Team Shuffle in 2014, that she would hold a position in AKB48's Team B. On 26 February 2015, it was revealed that Rina Ikoma was chosen to star in a live-action movie based on the Corpse Party series of video games.[8] A month after, on 26 March 2015, it was announced that she would be relieved of her concurrent position in AKB48.[9] In Nogizaka46's 12th single "Taiyō Nokku" was released on 22 July 2015, Rina was appointed to be the center position for the first time in two years after 5th single.[4] On 21 February 2016, it was announced that she became a model for Anna Sui in Asian regions.[10] She released her first solo photo book Kimi no Ashiato on 24 February 2016. It has sold 16,000 copies in a week, and ranked 1st on the Oricon weekly photo book sales chart.[11] On 29 March 2016, Rina Ikoma participated in the ceremonial first pitch before a baseball match between The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks and the Saitama Seibu Lions.[12] At the same time, she played SoftBank's advertising as the voice for "Giga-chan" which is a Character of Pomeranian{{clarify|date=August 2018}}.[13] In the same year, she played the lead role in the sequel to the Corpse Party movie, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. The film was released at the Japanese cinema in July 2016. Nijika Ishimori (Keyakizaka46) also appears there.[14] Also, Rina performed in the musical of Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo in September 2016.[15] On 31 January 2018, Rina Ikoma announces on the group's official blog that she intends to graduate for her future life. On 22 April, a graduation concert for her was held at the Nippon Budokan. A few days later, Nogizaka46's 20th single, "Synchronicity" was released on 25 April. It was the last single that she participated in as a member of Nogizaka46, and included the B-side track titled "Against" was the last song she took the center position in that group. "Against" was performed by the first generation members and its music video was shaped by the idea Rina wanted to do.[16] On 6 May, she left the group after an event in Makuhari Messe.
