词条 | Ripple Nature Reserve |
释义 |
The site is a mixture of woodland, scrub and grassland. Most soils in London are acidic, but this site has a very alkaline soil due to the dumping of fuel ash, and can therefore support locally unusual plants. The most important of these are pyramidal and southern marsh orchids, grey club rush and wild basil. The site also has large numbers of rabbits and goldfinches.[2] Some rare species of insects are present, including emerald damselfly.[1] Access is at the corner of Renwick Road and Thames Road. {{coord|51.524 | 0.114|type:landmark_region:GB-BNE|display=title}}{{commonscat|Ripple Nature Reserve}}References1. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://www.gigl.org.uk/online/site-Details.aspx?sID=M089&sType=sinc|title=Ripple Nature Reserve|date=6 March 2013|publisher=Greenspace Information for Greater London|accessdate= 7 November 2013}} 2. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://www.lnr.naturalengland.org.uk/Special/lnr/lnr_details.asp?C=0&N=&ID=1412 |title= Ripple Nature Reserve|series=Local Nature Reserves|publisher=Natural England|accessdate= 7 November 2013}} External links
