Personal historyWoolley was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and instead of attending college, developed his first company, Precision Plumbing, into Arizona's largest plumbing contractor.[2] Business careerIn 1969, he converted an apartment complex into the original Granada Royale Hometel.[3] This grew into a chain of 26 properties, and, in 1984, was sold to Holiday Inn Corporation under the new flag Embassy Suites.[4] All-suite formatThe flagship location of Woolley's Classic Suites will be in the Denver, Colo. area.[5] The idea for an all-suite hotel[6] was developed with the objective of providing spacious facilities to guests at competitive rates. Typically, each guest room is a suite with a separate living room and bedroom. For leisure travelers, the extra space afforded by the living room allows for the room to be easily converted into a bedroom for sleeping up to two additional guests. The space also allows business travelers the opportunity for separate working and sleeping areas.
