It was built in 1915-1916, and is a four-story, five bay, reinforced concrete building faced in brick in the Renaissance Revival-style. The building was expanded in 1919. It features terra cotta and polychromatic brick details in hues of red, brown, and purple. It originally housed a retail showroom and warehouse space for the Robertson–Cataract Electric Co.[2] In July 2012, global engineering firm T. Y. Lin International announced it would lease 6,500 square feet in the building.[3] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.[1] References1. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://www.nps.gov/history/nr/listings/20120217.htm|title=National Register of Historic Places Listings|date=2012-02-17|work=Weekly List of Actions Taken on Properties: 02/06/12 through 02/10/12|publisher=National Park Service}} {{National Register of Historic Places in New York}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Robertson-Cataract Electric Building}}{{BuffaloNY-NRHP-stub}}{{BuffaloNY-struct-stub}}2. ^{{cite web | url = https://cris.parks.ny.gov/ | title = Cultural Resource Information System (CRIS)| publisher = New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation| format = Searchable database| accessdate = 2016-03-01}} Note: This includes {{cite web | url = https://cris.parks.ny.gov/Uploads/ViewDoc.aspx?mode=A&id=26107&q=false | title = National Register of Historic Places Registration Form: Robertson–Cataract Electric Building | accessdate = 2016-03-01 | author = Kerry Traynor | format = PDF| date=July 2010}} and [https://cris.parks.ny.gov/Uploads/ViewDoc.aspx?mode=A&id=26109&q=false Accompanying seven photographs] 3. ^"Global firm leases spot in 1916 site," The Buffalo News, July 13, 2012 6 : Commercial buildings on the National Register of Historic Places in New York (state)|Renaissance Revival architecture in New York (state)|Commercial buildings completed in 1919|Industrial buildings completed in 1919|Buildings and structures in Buffalo, New York|National Register of Historic Places in Buffalo, New York |
