Canada, Marzel sought to have Canada's anti-prostitution laws declared unconstitutional, saying that "there are consenting adults who want to go into" prostitution. Natasha Falle, a former prostitute, was angered by this statement, responding that 97% of prostitutes are not engaging in prostitution by choice, and that "the voices of the overwhelming majority of women who want to get out of prostitution are being drowned out by a vocal few."[9] In 2013, Marzel served as the defence lawyer for Maxim Popovitch, a medical cannabis seller and grower.[10] References1. ^{{Cite news|work=Leader-Post|title=Decision provides options|date=January 12, 2008|url=http://www.canada.com/reginaleaderpost/news/story.html?id=5528caa8-5d9c-43f2-8dc1-077254c73415|accessdate=July 25, 2013|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20160324104826/http://www.canada.com/reginaleaderpost/news/story.html?id=5528caa8-5d9c-43f2-8dc1-077254c73415|archivedate=March 24, 2016|df=}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Marzel, Ron}}{{Canada-law-bio-stub}}2. ^{{Cite news|work=The Globe and Mail|title='Compassion club' providing medicinal marijuana shut down by police|author=Anthony Reinhart|date=April 5, 2010|url=https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/toronto/compassion-club-providing-medicinal-marijuana-shut-down-by-police/article1522875/|accessdate=July 25, 2013}} 3. ^{{Cite news|work=Toronto Star|title=Tenants from hell|author=Amy Brown-Bowers|date=October 20, 2007|url=https://www.thestar.com/news/2007/10/20/tenants_from_hell.html|accessdate=July 25, 2013}} 4. ^{{Cite news|work=Toronto Star|title=Drug move endangers seniors, lawyer says|author=Linda Diebel|date=July 30, 2008|url=https://www.thestar.com/news/ontario/2008/07/30/drug_move_endangers_seniors_lawyer_says.html|accessdate=July 25, 2013}} 5. ^{{Cite news|work=Toronto Star|title=Druggist takes on province|author=Linda Diebel|date=March 20, 2008|url=https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2008/03/20/druggist_takes_on_province.html|accessdate=July 25, 2013}} 6. ^{{Cite news|work=CBC News|title=Pot club charges dropped against volunteers|date=May 3, 2010|url=http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/story/2010/05/03/compassion-club.html|accessdate=July 25, 2013}} 7. ^{{Cite news|work=Toronto Star|title=Nine charged after marijuana compassion club raided|author=Jennifer Yang|date=April 3, 2010|url=https://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2010/04/03/nine_charged_after_marijuana_compassion_club_raided.html|accessdate=July 25, 2013}} 8. ^{{Cite news|work=Toronto Sun|title=Pot clinic owner on bail, plans to reopen|author=Ian Robertson|date=August 6, 2010|url=http://www.torontosun.com/news/torontoandgta/2010/08/06/14948021.html|accessdate=July 25, 2013}} 9. ^{{Cite news|work=CTV News|title=Federal government to appeal prostitution ruling|date=September 29, 2010|url=http://www.ctvnews.ca/federal-government-to-appeal-prostitution-ruling-1.558057|accessdate=July 16, 2013}} 10. ^{{Cite news|work=Guelph Mercury|title=Sentencing of purported medical marijuana supplier delayed by Guelph judge|date=July 19, 2013|url=http://www.guelphmercury.com/news-story/3901902-sentencing-of-purported-medical-marijuana-supplier-delayed-by-guelph-judge/|accessdate=July 25, 2013}} 7 : Living people|People from Toronto|Lawyers in Ontario|Criminal defense lawyers|Cannabis law reform in Canada|Medicinal use of cannabis|Year of birth missing (living people) |
