}}Rose Cookies is the typical Anglo Indian cookie and the favorite among Indian Christians during Christmas season.[1]

These are similar to European Christmas fruit cakes served during Christmas eve meals.[2]

Description

Also known as Gulabi Puvvulu in Telugu.[3] In Tamil it is called as Acchu Murukku and in Malayalam it is called as Achapam. These sweet fried cookies are shaped like a rose,[4] complete with holes to represent layers of petals.[5]

They are made from flour, sugar, eggs and coconut milk and are very popular [6] in South India like Kerala.
