Raghuraj is an Indian film director who has worked on Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language films. After beginning his career in Tamil films, Raghuraj has experienced more success in Telugu and Kannada films. CareerAfter beginning his career as a photo journalist, Raghuraj apprenticed as an editor with B. Lenin, before receiving an opportunity from producer K. T. Kunjumon to direct his first feature film, Sakthi (1997). The film, featuring Vineeth and Yuvarani in the lead roles, received negative reviews and performed poorly at the box office.[1] Raghuraj then took a sabbatical before re-emerging with the Telugu film, Kalusukovalani (2002), which became a box office success.[2] This prompted Raghuraj to remake the film as Ice (2003) in Tamil, with newcomer Ashok and Priyanka Trivedi in the lead roles. Comparatively, the Tamil version did not perform as well and critics noted that the film "makes viewers feel restless".[3][4] In 2004, Raghuraj briefly worked on a project titled Jockey with Prashanth, Laila and Malavika in the lead roles, but the film was later stalled.[5] In 2009, Raghuraj revealed that he was working on a trilogy of vigilante films and that Appavi would be the first of the three.[6] Prior to release, the film was reported in the media for producing India's largest flag for a sequence, at 1115 feet. The film eventually had a delayed release in 2011.[7] Raghuraj then moved to make films in the Kannada film industry, and has worked on four projects including Boss (2011) and Namaste Madam (2014).[8] Boss (2011) happens to be the major Kannada release of the year 2011. Darshan and Navya Nair are the lead pair of the film. This film also features popular Tamil actor Prabhu Ganesan playing the role of a CBI officer. Darshan plays dual role in the movie. A song has been shot in the world's largest Swarovski crystal showroom in Austria. They shot in the underground showroom and it was the first Indian film to have been shot there. Couple of months later Rama Rama Raghurama (2011) was released. The film had Rangayana Raghu in the lead role and it was an absolute entertainer. In 2014 Namaste Madam was released. Namaste Madam is a drama film and it features Srinagar Kitty, Ragini Dwivedi and Nikesha Patel in the lead roles. The film received applauds from the audience for the screenplay and roles depicted by the director. Raghuraj then directed ‘Supari Surya’, that was ready with the end product in 75 days from the start of day one of shooting. Director, editor and writer Raghuraj added another to the queue, '4 Letters' which is going to be Raghuraj's comeback telugu film. Just like his previous work, Raghuraj was ready with the final output of '4 Letters' in just 75 days. The audio launch and the release of theatrical trailer of the movie were held on 30th of January, 2019, and has been receiving good response from the teenagers of Tollywood. Filmography
