It is situated in the Taurus Mountains, about {{convert|7|km}} north of Göksu River valley. Its distance to Silifke is {{convert|25|km}} and to Mersin is {{convert|105|km}}. The population of the village was 456 as of 2012.[1] The main economic activity is farming. Fruits especially figs and pomegranate are the major crops.
