Saboba District is one of the twenty six (26) districts in the Northern Region of Ghana. Its capital is Saboba.^[1]^[2]^[3] The district was formed out of the then Dagomba District in 1988 in the pursuance of the Government's Decentralisation and Local Government reform Policy with Saboba as the district Administrative Capital.^[3] Christianity is the dominant religion in the district, with over 68.0 per cent of the population claiming Christianity as their faith. The next populous religion is Islam, 16.0 per cent and traditional religion 9.0 per cent. The rest of the population has no affiliation with any organized religion.^[3]
