It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.[1] The farmstead, including outbuildings built in 1907 and since, was deemed significant in 2001 as one of only a "handful" of surviving historic farmsteads in South Jordan, and notably had been worked by the farm's residents and remained in the same family. The house was also important as exemplifying Victorian Eclectic architecture, whose application in a rural area helped in "denoting the end of Utah's isolation from the nation in the late nineteenth century."[2]{{rp|9}} References1. ^1 {{NRISref|version=2010a}} {{National Register of Historic Places}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Holt, Samuel And Geneva, Farmstead}}{{Utah-NRHP-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=01000963}} |title=National Register of Historic Places Registration: Samuel and Geneva Holt Farmstead |author=Russell Holt Newbold |date=June 22, 2001 |publisher=National Park Service}} and {{NRHP url|id=01000963|title=accompanying six photos|photos=y}} 7 : Farms on the National Register of Historic Places in Utah|Houses completed in 1909|Houses in Salt Lake County, Utah|Victorian architecture in Utah|Farms in Utah|National Register of Historic Places in Salt Lake County, Utah|Buildings and structures in South Jordan, Utah |
