The team was from the Philippines and owned by San Miguel Corporation (SMC). This franchise was separate and distinct from the original Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) franchise which played as the "Petron Blaze Boosters" when this team was active. The Beermen played most of their home games at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig but also played some of their games in the Olivarez College Gym, Ynares Center, and PhilSports Arena. HistoryIn July 2011, SMC announced its participation in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) beginning in the 2012 ABL season,[1] as the San Miguel Beermen - a franchise distinct from its PBA franchise. In June 2013, the Beermen won its first ABL title in the 2013 ABL Playoffs, defeating the Indonesia Warriors.[2] The team disbanded shortly after without any formal announcement.[3][4] In January 31, 2018, SMC returned to the ABL as name sponsor of Alab Pilipinas.[5] Final roster{{PBA roster header|team=San Miguel Beermen| bg1 = #000000 | color1 = red| | bg2 = #36389C | color2 = blue }}{{player2 | num = 1 | first = Jeric | last = Fortuna | pos = PG | ft = 5 | in = 7 | lbs = 180 | college = UST | nat = PHI |}}{{player2 | num = 2 | first = Chris | last = Banchero | pos = PG | ft = 6 | in = 1 | lbs = 185 | college = Seattle Pacific | nat = PHI |}}{{player2 | num = 3 | first = Christian | last = Luanzon | pos = G | ft = 6 | in = 4 | lbs = 190 | college = UST | nat = PHI |}}{{player2 | num = 6 | first = Val| last = Acuña | pos = SF | ft = 6 | in = 4 | lbs = 179 | college = UE | nat = PHI}}{{player2 | num = 11 | first = Hans | last = Thiele | pos = F/C | ft = 6 | in = 5 | lbs = 200 | college = UE | nat = PHI |}}{{player2 | num = 12 | first = Paolo | last = Hubalde | pos = PG | ft = 5 | in = 11 | lbs = 170 | college = UE | nat = PHI }}{{player2 | num = 15 | first = JR | last = Cawaling | pos = G/F | ft = 6 | in = 2 | lbs = | college = FEU | nat = PHI |}}{{player2 | num = 18 | first = Leo | last = Avenido | pos = G | ft = 6 | in = 1 | lbs = 170 | college = FEU | nat = PHI |}}{{player2 | num = 23 | first = R.J. | last = Rizada | pos = SG | ft = 6 | in = 2 | lbs = 180 | college = FEU | nat = PHI |}}{{player2 | num = 24 | first = Justin | last = Williams |dab=basketball| pos = F/C | ft = 6 | in = 10 | lbs = 260 | college = Wyoming | nat = USA | note = I }}{{player2 | num = 30 | first = Eric | last = Menk | pos = F/C | ft = 6 | in = 6 | lbs = 220 | college = Lake Superior State | nat = PHI |}}{{player2 | num = 33 | first = Brian | last = Williams |dab=basketball| pos = F/C | ft = 6 | in = 10 | lbs = 275 | college = Tennessee | nat = USA | note = I}}{{player2 | num = 63 | first = Michael | last = Burtscher | pos = SF | ft = 6 | in = 6 | lbs = 210 | college = Clearwater | nat = SUI |}}{{player2 | num = 88 | first = Asi | last = Taulava | pos = C | ft = 6 | in = 9 | lbs = 245 | college = Brigham Young | nat = PHI }}{{NBA roster footer | head_coach =
