释义 |
The Scottish Agricultural Wages Board (SAWB) is an executive non-departmental public body of the Scottish Government. It sets minimum pay rates and other conditions for agricultural workers, as set out in the Agricultural Wages (Scotland) Order (No.59). The Agricultural Wages Board had been abolished in England and Wales on 25 June 2013.[1] In December 2015 the Scottish Government decided to retain the SAWB. This was announced shortly after they published analysis showing that without the board wages could be driven down for agricultural workers, with young apprentices and migrant workers thought to be particularly at risk.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.lindsays.co.uk/news-and-features/news/item/agricultural-wages-board-abolished-in-england-while-scottish-awb-increase-minimum-wages/ |title=Agricultural Wages Board abolished in England, while Scottish AWB increase minimum wages |publisher=www.lindsays.co.uk |accessdate=3 January 2016}} 2. ^{{cite news |url=http://www.heraldscotland.com/business/14164909.Scottish_Agricultural_Wages_Board_to_be_retained/ |title=Scottish Agricultural Wages Board to be retained |work=The Herald |date=24 December 2015 |accessdate=3 January 2016}} External links
