The tournament is the only tournament to have been held uninterruptedly for the last 31 years.[1] Past champions include New Road Team of Nepal in 2007,[2] Three Star Club of Nepal in 2008.[3] and ONGC FC in 2010.[4] Mohammedan S.C. became the champions for 2016 beating Jhapa XI FC 1-0 in the final.[5] VenuesAll the Sikkim Gold Cup matches are played in the Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.
