It debuted in January 2011.[1] As of the 2015-6 ski season, the tour consisted of ten events.[2] In 2014 the cup consisted of 6 races, among them La Diagonela, Marcialonga and Vasaloppet. Rickard Tynell won the first race, held in Switzerland due to lack of snow in Czech Republic. In 2013 the cup consisted of 6 races, Jizerská padesátka, Marcialonga, König Ludwig Lauf, Vasaloppet, Birkebeinerrennet and Årefjällslopet. It is an overall-cup, a sprintpoints-cup, a youth-cup and a team competition. The most profiled teams are Team Xtra Personell, Team United Bakeries, Team Coop, Team Tynell, Team Skinfit Racing Team and Team Skigo. In 2012 the cup consisted of 7 races. The races were Jizerská padesátka, Marcialonga, König Ludwig Lauf, Tartu Maraton, Vasaloppet, Birkebeinerrennet and the final Norefjellrennet which was cancelled because of lack of snow. The Norwegian cross country skier Anders Aukland won the overall cup. He participated for the Norwegian team Team Xtra Personell. The Swedish skier Jenny Hansson won the ladies' overall cup. The cup was first arranged in 2011. The Czech skier Stanislav Rezac won the men's overall cup, and the Swiss skier Seraina Boner won the ladies' overall cup. CompetitionsVisma Ski Classics Prize MoneyTotal Prize Money divided according to bibs competitions below: EUR 200.000 Event Prize Money EUR 21.000/event Visma Ski Classics Champion (Yellow Bib)The Yellow Visma Ski Classics Champion bib is the main prize given to the male and female athlete finishing with the most points each season in Ski Classics. Visma Ski Classics Sprint (Green Bib)There will be 1-3 sprints in each Visma Ski Classics race. Five fastest split times over the sprints will get points. The overall winner is the male athlete with most sprint points after the Visma Ski Classics Final. Visma Ski Classics sprint points are not calculated in the Visma Ski Classics Champion competition. Visma Ski Classics Youth (Pink bib)The pink Visma Ski Classics Youth bib is given to the best male and female athlete of age 26 or below. The age of the athlete is determined by the year the Visma Ski Classics final take place. Points in the Visma Ski Classics Champion are used. Visma Ski Classics Pro TeamThis classification is determined by adding the Visma Ski Classics Champion points from the teams best two male athletes, the best female athlete in each event, and the total sprint points taken by the team in each event.
