Small Media, Big Revolution is a book by Annabelle Sreberny-Mohammadi and Ali Mohammadi. First published in 1994, it deals with how small media (leaflets and audio cassettes) played an important role in the revolution that deposed the Shah of Iran.

What is Small Media? Small media does not need a definition. It is a conceptual framework for understanding and explaining (Erklären und Verstehen) the dynamic interplay between small media and Great Transformations (Karl Polanyi, 1944).

The Small Media Initiative has organized its First 2011 Small Media Symposium, held at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London on 8 – 9 April 2011.
