During its height the building housed several U.S. Presidents and actor John Barrymore, among others. The name is derived from the family that built the building, and is shared with the larger Ginocchio Historic District of the National Register of Historic Places. The building is currently being renovated with the new Ginocchio Restaurant and Bar slated to open soon. See also{{Portal|NRHP|Texas}}
