Since 2005, the society has published a peer-reviewed academic journal, Socialist Studies. The Society is a member of the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences (CFHSS)[3] and meets annually as part of the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences, the largest annual multidisciplinary academic gathering in Canada. Its 2015 conference was held 2–5 June in Ottawa.
