In 2008, she won the bronze medal of the World championship.[3] Ochigava was born in the city of Odintsovo, Moscow Oblast, Soviet Union, where she is still a resident.[3] She has Georgian origin. She started to train in kickboxing, but eventually moved to amateur boxing.[4] In 2009, she mentioned that she had no interest in moving to professional boxing.[5] References1. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.london2012.com/athlete/ochigava-sofya-1013668/|newspaper=www.london2012.com|title=Sofya Ochigava|date=|accessdate=23 August 2012|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20120821074140/http://www.london2012.com/athlete/ochigava-sofya-1013668/|archivedate=21 August 2012|df=}} {{Authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Ochigava, Sofya}}{{Russia-boxing-bio-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url=http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/london-olympics-2012/news/Irelands-Katie-Taylor-claims-womens-boxing-gold/articleshow/15424099.cms|title= Ireland's Katie Taylor claims women's boxing gold| accessdate=9 August 2012}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://odinfm.ru/sofya-ochigava-govoryat-chto-ya-boksiruyu-v-kubinskom-stile030909.html|script-title=ru:Софья Очигава: говорят, что я боксирую в кубинском стиле|last=Пигарин|first=Леонид|publisher=Одинцовская редакция радиовещания|language=Russian|accessdate=9 August 2012}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.championat.com/boxing/article-39929.html?rucom=1|script-title=ru:Очигава: профессиональный бокс – это не моё|last=Устьянцев|first=Константин|publisher=Чемпионат.ру|language=Russian|accessdate=9 August 2012|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20131109172249/http://www.championat.com/boxing/article-39929.html?rucom=1|archivedate=9 November 2013|df=}} 9 : 1987 births|Living people|Boxers at the 2012 Summer Olympics|Olympic boxers of Russia|Russian women boxers|Olympic silver medalists for Russia|Olympic medalists in boxing|Medalists at the 2012 Summer Olympics|AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships medalists |
