It also featured two of their most successful singles, "Back Stabbers" and "Love Train", which hit number one on the Billboard Pop Singles chart. On September 1, 1972, the title track was certified as a gold single by the Recording Industry Association of America. The following year, on May 8, Back Stabbers was also certified Gold by the RIAA.[13] It has gained the reputation as a landmark album of early 1970s soul and has been cited by critics as "the pinnacle of Philly soul."[8] In 2012, the album was ranked number 318 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.[14] Track listing{{Track listing| headline = Side one | title1 = When the World's at Peace | writer1 = Kenneth Gamble, Bunny Sigler, Phil Hurtt | length1 = 5:21 | title2 = Back Stabbers | writer2 = Leon Huff, Gene McFadden, John Whitehead | length2 = 3:07 | title3 = Who Am I | writer3 = Sigler, Hurtt | length3 = 5:14 | title4 = (They Call Me) Mr. Lucky | writer4 = Gamble, Huff | length4 = 3:20 | title5 = Time to Get Down | writer5 = Gamble, Huff | length5 = 2:53 }}{{Track listing | headline = Side two | title6 = 992 Arguments | writer6 = Gamble, Huff | length6 = 6:09 | title7 = Listen to the Clock on the Wall | writer7 = Gamble, Huff, Whitehead, McFadden | length7 = 3:48 | title8 = Shiftless, Shady, Jealous Kind of People | writer8 = Gamble, Huff, Whitehead, McFadden | length8 = 3:36 | title9 = Sunshine | writer9 = Sigler, Hurtt | length9 = 3:42 | title10 = Love Train | writer10 = Gamble, Huff | length10 = 2:59 }}{{Track listing | collapsed = yes | headline = 2011 remastered reissue bonus tracks | title11 = 992 Arguments | note11 = single version | writer11 = Gamble, Huff, Whitehead, McFadden | length11 = 2:22 | title12 = Love Train | note12 = Tom Moulton Mix | writer12 = Gamble, Huff | length12 = 6:13 }} PersonnelMusicians{{div col}}
