SYYL is the largest youth political organisation in Yorkshire, and campaigns across the county and the country for the Labour Party, focussing on both local and national issues that affect young people. SYYL members also get involved in the Labour Party through local policy events and by attending events and socials. StructureRelations to other OrganisationsSYYL works closely with other youth sections of the Labour Party, particularly Young Labour as a whole, West Yorkshire Young Labour, Labour Students, the Young Fabians and the youth sections of various trade unions and affiliated socialist societies. Membership FeeThe national Labour Party membership fee for under-27s was reduced to one penny from December 2010 until May 2011.[3] The fee has reverted to £1 for the first year of membership, with subsequent years charged at the standard rate.
