Collectively, these associations comprise over 60,000 companies with a total workforce of over 300,000 individuals. The SEC Group reflects the combined views of these organisations, notably in the Strategic Forum for Construction, where it is one of two bodies representing specialist contractors (the other is the National Specialist Contractors Council). It is particularly active in the areas of achieving: more cost effective procurement; fair and prompt payment; and the early involvement of specialist contractors in construction projects, to ensure more effective delivery. The LEIA operates Liftex,[2] a trade show and exhibition for the lifts and escalator industry, every three years.[3] The next LEIA exhibition will be Liftex 2019 on 15-16 May 2019.[4] A different exhibition with a similar name is operated by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association.[5] SELECT - the Electrical Contractors' Association for Scotland{{main|SELECT - the Electrical Contractors' Association for Scotland}}References1. ^{{cite news|url=https://books.google.com/books?ei=u1jVT4O9J6nw0gGetvyvAw&id=_5vGAAAAIAAJ&dq=%22Lift+and+Escalator+Industry+Association%22&q=%22Lift+and+Escalator+Industry+Association%22#search_anchor|title=Lift associations opt to unite|volume=19|work=Building Services Journal|page=9|accessdate=11 June 2012}} 2. ^LiftEx "LiftEx 2014" 3. ^{{cite journal|last=O'Guynn|first=Brad|year=2010|title=Events: Liftex 2010 Lift and Escalator Industry Association opens exhibition participation to non-members and draws increased visitors.|journal=Elevator World|volume=58|issue=7|page=99|issn=0013-6158}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.liftex2019.com/|title=Liftex 2013|accessdate=11 November 2017}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.liftex.org |title=LiftEx 2017 |publisher=Lifting Equipment Engineers Association |accessdate=11 November 2017}} External links
