It is named after the Sri Jagannath temple located at Puri in the state of Odisha.

The 18410 / 09 Puri Howrah Sri Jagannath Express has 2 AC 2 tier, 2 AC 3 tier, 14 Sleeper Class, 3 General Unreserved & 2 SLR (Seating cum Luggage Rake) Coaches.It also carries a Pantry car coach which is non-operational and locked during the journey.

Rake Sharing

Previously 18410 / 09 Puri Howrah Sri Jagannath Express used to share its rake with the 12859 / 60 Gitanjali Express. Now it runs without any rake sharing arrangement.

18409 Howrah Puri Express runs from Howrah Junction on a daily basis reaching Puri the next day  .

18410 Puri Howrah Express runs from Puri on a daily basis reaching Howrah Junction the next day.
