It was opened in 1928. Then it was called Arena “Politehnica” and it was one of the most modern stadiums in the city. Now it offers many facilities such: 1,000 seats, modern scoreboard, nocturne, dressing rooms, showers gym. For 35 years Politehnica Timișoara played on this stadium. The Arena renovated in 1947. It was reopened in 1948 with the match between Politehnica Timișoara and CFR București, ended 1–0 for Poli. The biggest number of fans, that assisted was at the Cupa Dunării's game between Știința and Dinamo Prague (actual Slavia) on 1 June 1958. There were 24,000 fans.
