Lake Guyon drains to the Stanley River via a swampy tributary named Stanley Vale.[2] In its lower reaches the river passes through a gorge known as Stanley Gate. The Fowler Pass Track follows the river for much of its length.[2] References1. ^New Zealand Geographic Place Names Database {{coord|42|23|46|S|172|37|17|E|region:NZ|display=title}}{{CanterburyNZ-river-stub}}2. ^1 New Zealand 1:50000 Topographic Map series sheet BT24 – Ada Flat 1 : Rivers of Canterbury, New Zealand |
