He also received a Paediatric Fellowship (FRCPC) from McGill University.[1][2] Achievements and honoursZlotkin is a frequent consultant to governments and United Nations agencies on issues related to paediatric nutrition. He received the H J Heinz Humanitarian Award in 2001 for his international contribution to the health of children globally,[3] The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) awarded him the CIHR National Knowledge Translation Award in 2006 for "outstanding contributions to the health of children worldwide".[4] In 2006 was awarded the Order of Canada for his contributions to improving the lives of children.[5] In 2007 he received the International Ashoka Fellowship.[6] In January 2016, he was awarded Order of Ontario.[7] Research interestsHis research interests involve:
He has active research in Canada (supported by Health Canada[8] and the CDC), Ghana (supported by the CIHR), Mongolia (supported by World Vision[9] and the H J Heinz Foundation[10]) and India (supported by the CIHR).
