The Strand Millas house was built in 1701, and is a {{fraction|2|1|2}} story, quarried stone dwelling. It was expanded with one room on each floor during the 1760s. Across from the main house is the Rock Spring springhouse. Adjacent to the spring is a dwelling said by some to have been built in the 1680s, but it was extensively remodeled during the 19th century. The name "Strand Millas" is derived from an industrial town near Belfast, Ireland.[2] It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.[1] References1. ^1 {{NRISref|version=2010a}} {{National Register of Historic Places in Delaware}}{{Delaware-NRHP-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url= {{NRHP url|id=73000520}}|title=National Register of Historic Places Registration: Strand Millas and Rock Spring|date=March 1973 |accessdate=2013-03-16 |author=Joan Norton and Edward Heite|publisher=National Park Service and {{NRHP url|id=73000520|title=accompanying four photos|photos=y}}}} 6 : Houses on the National Register of Historic Places in Delaware|American colonial architecture|Houses completed in 1701|Houses in New Castle County, Delaware|National Register of Historic Places in New Castle County, Delaware|1701 establishments in Delaware |
