BackgroundThe album was an attempt to cover recent hit singles in the Shadows' trademark instrumental style, along with rounding up some of their recent hit singles onto an LP, including the top 5 cover of "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina". The arrangements were selected by Hank Marvin.[2] AwardsThe album was a commercial success, reaching No. 1 in the British LP charts.[2] It was certified Platinum on 25 January 1980.[3] Track listing{{Track listing| headline = Disc one | total_length = | title1 = Riders in the Sky | writer1 = Stan Jones | length1 = 03:58 | title2 = Parisienne Walkways | writer2 = Phil Lynott, Gary Moore | length2 = 03:34 | title3 = Classical Gas | writer3 = Mason Williams | length3 = 03:08 | title4 = Theme From The Deer Hunter | writer4 = Stanley Myers | length4 = 03:28 | title5 = Bridge Over Troubled Water | writer5 = Paul Simon | length5 = 04:42 | title6 = You're the One That I Want | writer6 = John Farrar | length6 = 03:05 }}{{Track listing | headline = Disc two | total_length = | title1 = Heart of Glass | writer1 = Debbie Harry, Chris Stein | length1 = 03:39 | title2 = Don't Cry for Me Argentina | writer2 = Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice | length2 = 03:33 | title3 = Song For Duke | writer3 = Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch, Brian Bennett | length3 = 04:02 | title4 = Bright Eyes | writer4 = Mike Batt | length4 = 03:47 | title5 = Rodrigo's Guitar Concerto De Aranjuez | writer5 = Joaquín Rodrigo | length5 = 03:30 | note5 = Theme from the 2nd movement | title6 = Baker Street | writer6 = Gerry Rafferty | length6 = 04:55 }}[1][4] Personnel
