The skeletons were taken to Guernsey by a team led by Philip de Jersey, then were returned to Herm for burial. The earliest bones dated were from the second half of the 10th century.[12] References1. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.channelonline.tv/channelonline_guernseynews/displayarticle.asp?id=490652 | title=Major renovation for Herm chapel | work=Channel Online TV | date=1 September 2010 | accessdate=27 November 2013}} 2. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.lonelyplanet.com/the-channel-islands/herm | title=Herm , United Kingdom | work=Lonely Planet | accessdate=27 November 2013}} 3. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.pdfs.com/shipping-to-the-bailiwick-of-guernsey-sark-alderney-and-herm | title=Shipping to the Bailiwick of Guernsey (Sark, Alderney and Herm) | work=Paul Daniels Freight Services Ltd. | accessdate=28 October 2013}} 4. ^{{cite book |first=Heather |last=Sebire |title=The Archaeology and Early history of the Channel Islands |publisher=NPI Media Group |ISBN=978-0752434490}} 5. ^1 2 {{cite web |url=http://www.lonelyplanet.com/the-channel-islands/herm | title=Herm , United Kingdom | work=Lonely Planet | accessdate=26 November 2013}} 6. ^1 2 3 4 {{cite web | url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/guernsey/hi/people_and_places/religion_and_ethics/newsid_8695000/8695672.stm | title=1,400 years of religious history in Herm's chapel | work=BBC | date=21 May 2010 | accessdate=26 November 2013}} 7. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.catawiki.com/catalog/stamps/countries-regions-territories/guernsey/357969-churches | title=St Tugual's Chapel | work=Catawiki | accessdate=27 November 2013}} 8. ^1 {{cite web | url=http://www.thisisguernsey.com/latest/2010/12/10/church-out-of-service/ | title=Church out of service | work=Guernsey Post | date=10 December 2010 | accessdate=26 November 2013}} 9. ^1 2 {{cite web | url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-guernsey-13491882 | title=Herm's St Tugual's chapel is rededicated at service | work=BBC | date=22 May 2011 | accessdate=26 November 2013}} 10. ^{{cite web | url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-guernsey-12529411 | title=Old skeletons discovered near Herm church | work=BBC | date=22 February 2011 | accessdate=26 November 2013}} 11. ^{{cite web | url=http://herm.com/blog/category/St-Tuguals-Church.aspx | title=Herm’s skeletons reburied | work=Herm | date=12 November 2013 | accessdate=26 November 2013}} 12. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.thisisguernsey.com/news/news-from-herm/2013/09/28/archeological-talk-and-picture-presentation-precedes-reburial-of-herm%E2%80%99s-skeletons/ | title=Archeological talk and picture presentation precedes reburial of Herm’s skeletons | work=Guernsey Press | date=28 September 2013 | accessdate=26 November 2013}} 3 : Herm|11th-century churches in the United Kingdom|Buildings and structures in the Channel Islands |
