}}Susan 'Sue' Beatrice Chew (born in Oakland, California)[1] is a Democratic Idaho State Representative since 2006 representing District 17 in the B seat.[2]

Education

Chew earned her bachelor's degree in biology and natural resources from University of California, Berkeley, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of California, San Francisco.{{Citation needed|date=February 2017}}

Elections

  • 2006 Chew was unopposed in the May 23, 2006, Democratic primary, winning with 875 votes,[3] and winning the three-party November 7, 2006, general election with 6,735 votes (58.38%) against incumbent Republican Representative Janet J. Miller and Constitution Party nominee Katherine Frazier.[4]
  • 2008 Chew was unopposed in the May 27, 2008, Democratic primary, winning with 1,242 votes,[5] winning the November 4, 2008, general election with 9,940 votes (64.7%) against Daniel A. Loughrey (R).[6]
  • 2010 Chew and Loughrey were both unopposed for their primaries, setting up a rematch; Chew won the May 25, 2010, Democratic primary with 766 votes.[7] Turnout for the November 2, 2010, general election was lower by nearly 6,000 votes than in 2008, with Chew winning with 5,591 votes (59.4%) against Loughrey (R).[8]
  • 2012 Challenged in the May 15, 2012, Democratic primary by Greg Nielson, Chew won with 1,318 votes (88.9%), facing a three-party contest against Republican nominee Chad Inman[9] and Libertarian nominee Mikel Hautzinger for the general election on November 6, 2012.
  • 2014 Chew ran unopposed in both the Democratic primary and general election.[10]
