DescriptionThe site is located on the western bank of Little Choctaw Bayou and has three platform mounds that form a triangle surrounding a plaza, a typical Coles Creek arrangement.[2] Mound A, the largest mound, is a {{convert|11|ft|m}} in height and its base measures {{convert|190|ft|m}} by {{convert|180|ft|m}} and a summit measuring {{convert|60|ft|m}} by {{convert|60|ft|m}}. Mound B, the second largest, is located {{convert|400|ft|m}} to the northwest of Mound A. It is {{convert|8|ft|m}} in height with base measurements of {{convert|130|ft|m}} by {{convert|100|ft|m}} and its summit {{convert|65|ft|m}} by {{convert|33|ft|m}}. Mound C is {{convert|7|ft|m}} with base measurements of {{convert|100|ft|m}} by {{convert|80|ft|m}} with a dome-shaped summit.[1] Mounds A and B had ramps from their summits down to the plaza. The mounds were constructed sometime between 750-800 CE,[2] but the site was occupied during most of the Coles Creek period from 700 to 1200.[1] See also
