}}Syllepte elegans is a moth in the family Crambidae. It was described by West in 1931. It is found in the Philippines (Luzon).[1] The wingspan is about 25 mm. The forewings are glossy, translucent light buff shaded with fuscous from the base to the antemedial, and from the postmedial to the termen. The subbasal fascia is fuscous, straight from the costa to inner the margin and the antemedial fascia is also fuscous, outwardly oblique and slightly waved. There is a fuscous spot in the middle of the cell and a fuscous patch on the discocellulars. The postmedial fascia is fuscous, inwardly oblique from the costa to vein 5, angled, and again inwardly oblique to vein 2, angled, then rising inwardly to the median nervure, sharply angled, then oblique to the inner margin. The hindwings are concolorous with the forewings, but the antemedial and postmedial fasciae are represented by two oblique lines from the costa to vein 2.[2] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://globiz.pyraloidea.org/Pages/Reports/TaxonReport.aspx |title=global Pyraloidea database |publisher=Globiz.pyraloidea.org |date= |accessdate=2014-07-15}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q14425342}}{{Syllepte-stub}}2. ^Descriptions of new species of Japanese, Formosan and Philippine Pyralidae 3 : Moths described in 1931|Syllepte|Moths of Asia |
