CareerSharif's career began when she appeared in a commercial for Skype in 2009. This was followed by an online BBC video where she played lead, Shanice. Sharif then appeared in CBBC show, The Legend of Dick and Dom as guest lead, Fran.[1] In 2010, Sharif appeared in stage production, In His Image as lead, Tanya and short films, Assessment and Promise as lead roles, Rachel and Lisa respectively. Sharif also appeared in a BBC 'Underage and Pregnant' advertisement as Shana and in See Me as the lead, Alicia.[1] In March 2011, Sharif appeared in a guest role as Shelly Knight in BBC medical drama, Casualty,[2] before appearing in another BBC medical drama, Doctors as Aaliyah Clarke. She also appeared in the stage production of Crawling in the Dark as Amber.[1] In 2012, Sharif appeared in each episode of the BBC drama, One Night as Madison as well as appearing in the second series of Whitechapel as Chantal for one episode in February 2012. She also played Esther Adams in the stage production of Moon on a Rainbow Shawl and as Dunyazade in the stage production of Arabian Nights.[1] Sharif then appeared in her first feature film, The Invisible Woman as Rosa, before appearing as the lead, Nikki in a STOP short film. She also featured in a McDonald's advert in 2013. In early 2013, Sharif was cast as the teenage daughter of Martin Ashford (Patrick Robinson), Ella. Ella was billed as "mischievous, a true troublemaker and determined to cause trouble for Ash [father, Martin]". Sharif's first scenes aired on 4 May 2013[3] and over a year later, on 17 May 2014,[4] Sharif's final scenes aired. This decision was made by producers after Ella's storyline came to a finish and it saw Ella arrested after her father decided to hand her into the police. Once finishing at Casualty, Sharif returned to her role as Esther Adams in the stage production of Moon on the Rainbow Shawl. Sharif will play Kile in short film, Pulsar which airs in 2015. Sharif also starred in the final ten episodes of long-running school drama, Waterloo Road, as student Carrie Norton. These episodes will air from 5 January to 9 March 2015.
