}}Theodore J. "Ted" Falk {{post-nominals|country=CAN|MP}} (born May 23, 1960) is a Canadian politician, who currently represents the electoral district of Provencher in the House of Commons of Canada.[1] A member of the Conservative Party of Canada, he was first elected in a by-election on November 25, 2013,[2] succeeding former cabinet minister Vic Toews, who had retired from politics three months earlier after almost 13 years as the area's MP.[3]

Early life and career

Prior to his election, Falk was chairman and president of the Steinbach Credit Union (SCU), and the president of a construction and gravel-crushing company.[4]

When Falk became SCU President in 1998, the credit union had $728 million in assets. On February 18, 2014, after 16 years with Falk as President, the SCU reported $4.16 billion in assets.[5]
