The company is best known for developing Deadlight and Rime. HistoryTequila Works was founded in Madrid in September 2009 by Raúl Rubio Munárriz and Luz Sancho Rodríguez. On 18 January 2012, Tequila Works announced their first project, Deadlight.[1] Tequilla Works' next project was Rime, a puzzle video game originally intended to be a PlayStation 4-exclusive game. However, the team decided to acquire the intellectual property from Sony in the middle of the game's development and bring the game to other platforms. Rime was released in May 2017.[2][3] The company also collaborated with GameTrust Games on a virtual reality project named The Invisible Hours, in which players will solve a murder mystery.[4] In 2017, the company partnered with British developer Cavalier Game Studios to publish their first game, The Sexy Brutale, while providing additional development.[5] The company also published WonderWorlds by Guildford-based start-up studio Glowmade.[6] In October 2017 they released their 1st immersive theater VR experience, The Invisible Hours, co-published with GameTrust for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, PSVR. In February 2019 Tequila Works announced their new project: "Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son". The game is scheduled to release on the PlayStation Store for PSVR later this year. It will be co-produced by PlayStation's VR division and MWM Immersive, and will also be available on the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. In March 2019 during the Google Stadia GDC keynote they announced that they were working on something new using the Style Transfer feature of its development tools. Games
