Saroja Devi in lead roles. The film, produced by Sandow M. M. A. Chinnappa Thevar, had a musical score by K. V. Mahadevan in which the background sound effects for fighting scenes were effectively composed. The film was released on the occasion of Diwali 1961 and was a commercial success, running for 140 days in theatres.^[2]

Plot

Raju (MGR) is an honest police inspector working hard to bring down a group of thieves. While on his mission, he crosses paths with Vijaya (Saroja Devi) and they both fall in love. But things take an unfortunate turn when Raju realises the criminal he is hunting is none other than his brother Mohan (S. A. Ashokan). What happens next forms the crux of the story.
