The institute was established in August 2011. (The climate is cool throughout the year.) The campus is in sprawling 40 acres of land, 14 km from New Tehri. THDC IHET on a 20 acre campus has fixed for itself a big name and is recognized as the first hydropower technical institute of Asia and India.[1] EstablishmentThe institute was inaugurated by Sh. AdmissionsThe Bachelor of Technology admissions were based on the AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination). The exam consists of three sections on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
